Editing Contest No. 11 used four raw files Thomas shot in Cinque Terre, Italy — the spectacular sunset clouds, and the village lights half an hour later at blue hour. Reviewing the entries, Thomas tackles a core question of post-processing: what matters more, recovering every detail, or creating the right feeling?","b":false},{"t":"p","x":"先看结论：把该亮的光线重新亮起来、该暗的阴影重新压下去之后，同一张照片立刻从「HDR 味」回到了真实的光感（视频 4:52 处 Lightroom 内的修改效果）。","xe":"Start with the conclusion: once the lights glow again and the shadows sink back down, the same photo shakes off its HDR flavor and regains believable light (the corrected edit inside Lightroom at 4:52 in the video).","b":false},{"t":"img","f":"v01","w":852,"h":480},{"t":"h","x":"01 赛题：日落乌云与蓝调灯火","xe":"01 The Brief: Sunset Clouds, Blue-Hour Lights"},{"t":"p","x":"这期提供了同一机位的四张原片：日落时拍下壮观的乌云与太阳光线之后，三脚架和相机一动不动，再等半个小时到蓝调时刻，小镇灯光全部亮起后再拍一张（视频 0:24 处为日落原片，0:32 处为蓝调原片）。 ,"xe":"Four raws from the same tripod position were provided: after capturing the dramatic sunset clouds and light, the camera stayed untouched for half an hour until blue hour, when the village lights came on (the sunset raw at 0:24 and the blue-hour raw at 0:32 in the video). Entrants could therefore grade the blue-hour frame alone — blue backdrop plus orange lamps is already rich — or time-blend the sunset glow with the blue-hour lights, a matter of personal taste.","b":false},{"t":"img","f":"v02","w":852,"h":480},{"t":"img","f":"v03","w":852,"h":480},{"t":"h","x":"02 通病：细节不是越多越好","xe":"02 The Common Flaw: Detail Isn't Everything"},{"t":"p","x":"浏览投稿时 Thomas 发现一个共性问题：不少作品调色和影调都不错，但总觉得哪里不舒服——细节太多了。 ,"xe":"Reviewing the entries, Thomas spots a shared flaw: many images grade well yet feel off — because they carry too much detail. Beginners want to recover every highlight and every shadow, but when everything has detail, nothing stands out (one such entry at 0:46 in the video). The most jarring move is crushing the lamps and the sun to save their highlights — yet lights seen at night are blindingly bright, and a slight bloom in a photo matches what our eyes expect; restoring the detail inside every bulb only reads as fake.","b":false},{"t":"img","f":"v04","w":852,"h":480},{"t":"h","x":"03 现场演示：把光感找回来","xe":"03 Live Demo: Bringing the Light Back"},{"t":"p","x":"修改思路很简单：大胆让该亮的地方亮起来。 ,"xe":"The fix is simple: boldly let the bright zones glow. Thomas drops radial filters over the sun and the lamp clusters, adding +0.2 EV and +10 highlights — the sun immediately blooms into a clear overexposed patch, and that is exactly the intent (at 3:50 in the video). A brush or HSL would refine it further; the demo stays deliberately rough (several stacked radial filters visible at 4:10).","b":false},{"t":"img","f":"v05","w":852,"h":480},{"t":"img","f":"v06","w":852,"h":480},{"t":"img","f":"v07","w":852,"h":480},{"t":"p","x":"反过来，不想让它抢戏的地方就压暗：右侧的山体降曝光、弱化细节，周边的亮条也一并处理。 ,"xe":"Conversely, anything that competes for attention gets darkened: the right-hand hillside loses exposure and detail, and the bright strip along the edge is tamed. After a few moves the before/after is striking — the original feels stuffy, HDR-like; the corrected version lets the sun and lamps glow again, even at the cost of bloom and some shadow detail, and because the feeling is right, the photo is right (at 4:52 in the video). Feeling first, detail second.","b":false},{"t":"h","x":"04 获奖作品：感觉对了就成立","xe":"04 The Winners: When Feeling Rings True"},{"t":"p","x":"本期两张优胜作品恰好都是「感觉优先」的范本。 ,"xe":"Both winners this round are textbook cases of feeling first. The first is a dark-tone render: the ring around the sun is blown out completely, yet it looks entirely comfortable; the lamps hold their brightness and the distant lights bloom a little without harm; the foreground rocks keep sculpted highlights for texture while the right-hand hillside falls decisively dark — strong contrast, clear interest points (at 5:53 in the video). One nitpick: the slightly messy highlights could take another dip of the highlight slider.","b":false},{"t":"img","f":"v08","w":852,"h":480},{"t":"img","f":"v10","w":852,"h":480},{"t":"p","x":"第二张用了蓝调底片并做了裁图：改成竖构图之后，兴趣点聚焦到左侧的小镇上，画面非常梦幻，冷暖调子的对比十分漂亮（视频 5:44 处）。 ,"xe":"The second winner grades the blue-hour raw and crops it: the vertical frame pulls the eye to the village on the left, dreamlike, with a lovely warm-cool contrast (at 5:44 in the video). The distant lights again bloom slightly — that glow is the point — while the trees are darkened so nothing competes. Clear contrast, a strong subject, harmonious color: once again, restraint bought the feeling.","b":false},{"t":"img","f":"v09","w":852,"h":480},{"t":"quote","x":"1. ,"xe":"1. More detail is not better — when everything has detail, nothing stands out; 2. Lights at night are bright by nature: slight bloom matches perception, while restoring every bulb's detail reads false; 3. Let the bright zones glow boldly (radial filter plus exposure and highlights) and let the rest sink — recover the feeling of light first; 4. A photo lives on feeling, not detail — when the feeling is right, a little bloom and lost shadow detail are perfectly acceptable.","b":false},{"t":"h","x":"高清视频：","xe":"HD video:"},{"t":"p","x":"https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV16k4y1R7oM/","b":false,"xe":"https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV16k4y1R7oM/"},{"t":"h","x":"精选奖获奖作品","xe":"Selection Award winning works"},{"t":"img","f":"img-04","w":1080,"h":721},{"t":"h","x":"作者：叶叶的心叶言（微博）","xe":"Photographer: 叶叶的心叶言 (Weibo)"},{"t":"img","f":"img-05","w":1080,"h":1445},{"t":"h","x":"作者：青橙-晓诗（微博）","xe":"Photographer: 青橙-晓诗 (Weibo)"},{"t":"h","x":"奖品：托马斯签名版《看见世界》+明信片","xe":"Prize: Thomas's signed copy of \"Seeing the World\" (《看见世界》) + postcards"},{"t":"p","x":"（请获奖者私信联系一下托马斯哦）","b":false,"xe":"(Winners, please contact Thomas via private message)"},{"t":"p","x":"前期是谱曲，后期是演奏。 ,"b":false,"xe":"The pre-shoot is composing, and post-processing is performing.
