Regarding the photos you take yourselves, what are your thoughts? Or rather, before shooting, what makes you feel a scene is worth shooting?"},{"t":"p","x":"最近，我不断在思考一张图片所内含的想法或概念的重要性——它能令你停下来并想：“这里有些东西值得让我去拍摄。” ,"b":false,"xe":"Lately, I've been constantly thinking about the importance of the idea or concept contained in an image — it's what makes you stop and think: \"There's something here worth shooting.\" That's what goes through my mind before I start shooting."},{"t":"img","f":"img-02","w":1080,"h":613},{"t":"p","x":"一个想法或概念是没有视觉特征，而摄影师的作用通过不同的视觉元素——线条、形状、颜色和明暗度，将这些元素“编排”进构图里面，从而表达出一个想法或概念。 ,"b":false,"xe":"An idea or concept has no visual features of its own; the photographer's role is to \"choreograph\" different visual elements — lines, shapes, colors, and light-dark values — into a composition to express an idea or concept. An idea or concept carries importance: it can contain information, emotion, feeling, statement, metaphor, or story."},{"t":"p","x":"我常认为拍摄创作一张有创意、属于自己的风光作品有着5个部分（按照顺序）：想法和概念、形象化和具体化、构图、拍摄、后期处理、以及展示。","b":false,"xe":"I often think that creating an original landscape work of your own has five parts (in order): idea and concept, visualization and concretization, composition, shooting, post-processing, and presentation."},{"t":"img","f":"img-03","w":866,"h":1200},{"t":"p","x":"让我们回到风光摄影。 ,"b":false,"xe":"Let's return to landscape photography. I think many landscape photographers or enthusiasts rarely consider the idea or concept behind a landscape image when shooting. More often it's: \"Look! So beautiful!\" — and seeking aesthetically beautiful, personally pleasing scenery and composition."},{"t":"p","x":"我这么说并不是要否定这种想法，不可否认，风光摄影的确很大程度上是追求审美上美丽且合自己意的景观和构图。 ,"b":false,"xe":"I say this not to negate that approach. Undeniably, landscape photography is largely about pursuing aesthetically beautiful, personally pleasing scenery and composition. But gradually you'll find it's like writing a sentence focused on the beauty of the handwriting while ignoring the meaning behind the words. Viewers of our images can indeed be struck by the beauty in a short time, but in the end can only find scattered fragments or nothing at all in terms of idea or concept. On this point, let alone others, even I sometimes neglect it."},{"t":"img","f":"img-04","w":922,"h":1300},{"t":"p","x":"为了不让自己忽视，不妨在追求审美上美丽且合自己意的景观和构图的同时，就同样景观场景和构图，问自己：","b":false,"xe":"To avoid neglecting it, while pursuing aesthetically beautiful, personally pleasing scenery and composition, ask yourself about the same scene and composition:"},{"t":"p","x":"我能感受到什么？","b":false,"xe":"What can I feel?"},{"t":"p","x":"是什么让我有那样子的感受？","b":false,"xe":"What makes me feel that way?"},{"t":"p","x":"我有没有“说出”这个地方的故事？","b":false,"xe":"Have I \"told\" the story of this place?"},{"t":"p","x":"这三个问题十分重要，因为它们迫使我们“给予”图片多一重含义。 ,"b":false,"xe":"These three questions are very important, because they force us to \"give\" the image an extra layer of meaning. Besides expressing beauty, landscape photography often expresses the fusion between the photographer and the landscape — and that fusion is what the photographer can feel; what makes the photographer feel that way is the landscape's \"story.\" Whether the work I shot has \"told\" the story of this place, in other words, is whether viewers can learn about this place through my work and feel what I feel."},{"t":"img","f":"img-05","w":1080,"h":624},{"t":"p","x":"就以我近期在南美智利峡湾探索拍摄的一张图片为例。","b":false,"xe":"Take a recent image I shot while exploring the Chilean fjords of South America as an example."},{"t":"p","x":"在南美智利峡湾探索的10多天行程里，有近乎一半有多的天数都在下雨。 ,"b":false,"xe":"During the 10-plus-day trip exploring the Chilean fjords, nearly more than half the days were rainy. The precipitation and humidity of this place were unlike anything I'd first experienced at such high latitudes — and precisely this abundance of precipitation, combined with the strong winds, created these wonderful Coigüe (also known as southern beech) forests."},{"t":"p","x":"Coigüe树可谓南美峡湾的一大特点。 ,"b":false,"xe":"Coigüe trees are a hallmark of the South American fjords. Here, the gnarled, clawing shapes of the Coigüe trees exude a powerful vitality, and in this work, all the Coigüe trees seem to reach toward the waterfall — that is, water, the source of life. The waterfall, clouds, and mist in this work represent the abundance of precipitation in this place."},{"t":"p","x":"可以说，当我看到这个场景的时候，我心中便有一个声音在告诉我——这就是这地方给我的感受，和大部分人去的巴塔哥尼亚不一样，巴塔哥尼亚另外一边的智利峡湾充满着生命力的气息！","b":false,"xe":"I could say that when I saw this scene, a voice in my heart told me — this is what this place gives me; unlike the Patagonia most people visit, the Chilean fjords on the other side of Patagonia are filled with an air of vitality!"},{"t":"p","x":"在这里，不得不介绍一个概念——视觉语言。 ,"b":false,"xe":"Here I must introduce a concept — visual language. Visual language is a language that expresses a certain idea through different visual elements — lines, shapes, colors, light-dark values, and composition. It's a language we humans aren't familiar with or accustomed to. And visual language possesses its own unique metaphors, symbols, and euphemisms."},{"t":"p","x":"正如上面智利峡湾的这张图片里面，张牙舞爪的树是生命力的符号、水是生命之源，同样也是一个符号。 ,"b":false,"xe":"As in the Chilean fjord image above, the clawing trees are a symbol of vitality, and water, the source of life, is likewise a symbol. The overall composition makes the trees seem to be desperately competing for water, the source of life, leading viewers into a concept: the most fundamental thing for all living beings — water. Drawing our attention to water itself is a very subtle hint. On another level, the whole scene also expresses my own feelings in the Chilean fjords, revealing a different side of Patagonia in South America."},{"t":"img","f":"img-06","w":1080,"h":780},{"t":"p","x":"其实，我们大部分人都有着相似的视觉洞察力，容易被优雅的线条、大胆鲜艳的颜色等视觉元素所吸引和影响，但能够通过这些视觉元素去拍摄并表达自己的感受和想法的并不是每个人都能做到。","b":false,"xe":"In fact, most of us share similar visual insight — easily attracted and influenced by visual elements like elegant lines and bold, vivid colors. This helps build a bridge between visual language and our everyday spoken language."},{"t":"p","x":"日常口头语言是我们平时生活交流的有效工具，而视觉语言则是充满着隐喻和晦涩的语言工具，也是我们并不习惯的一种语言工具，也是充满想象力的语言。","b":false,"xe":"Everyday spoken language is an effective tool for our daily communication, while visual language is a language tool full of metaphor and obscurity — one we're not accustomed to, yet also a language full of imagination."},{"t":"img","f":"img-07","w":1080,"h":824},{"t":"p","x":"不同人对于同一张图有着类似或完全不一样的解读，而这也是为什么视觉语言充满着魅力的原因之一，它是充满着想象力的媒体。 ,"b":false,"xe":"Different people have similar or completely different interpretations of the same image, and that's one reason visual language is so charming — it's a medium full of imagination.
