2017 — 2026 · A Decade-Long Documentary Across Seven Arctic Expeditions
变化中的格陵兰岛

Greenland in Transition is a long-term documentary project by photographer Chu Weimin, completed over ten years through seven trips to the Arctic with nearly eight months of cumulative fieldwork. From his first expedition into the uninhabited southern fjords in 2017, to winning the Global Grand Prize of the National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year in 2019 with Greenland Winter, and returning in 2024 to focus on the frontlines of climate change, the photographer has documented the dual transformation of natural landforms and human ecology on the world’s largest island amid global warming.
