Photography Tutorial · 2019-12-01
In today's photography tutorial, Thomas will share with everyone how online photography contests are judged, and how to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of photos.
I'll use the nearly a thousand submissions from the 10th photo-editing mini-contest, "The 61-Megapixel Editing Challenge Is Here! Sony A7R4 Landscape Originals Await Your Editing!" (《6100万像素修图挑战来了!索尼A7R4风光原片后期等你调!》), as an example to show everyone the complete process of initial selection, shortlisting, and final selection comparison.
In many submitted photos, there are also common issues like over-softening, unnatural darkening, and insufficient layering, which prevent them from advancing further in the contest.

Besides the above works, the following ones are also quite distinctive:
The pre-shoot is composing, and post-processing is performing. From the same original, different photographers produce different results. The collision of different ideas is fascinating.
If you have different views or ideas about Thomas's opinions and the way the selected works are presented, you're welcome to discuss them in the comments.
