When I am judging the thing that stands for me above all else is personal vision, and how it manifests itself creatively. I want creative images that bring the voice and vision of the artist to the landscape. Not the obvious and cliched copies of shots or specific concepts already pioneered others that are often-shot.
Translation: When I'm judging, what I value most is the photographer's personal perspective and how creatively they express themselves. I want to see creative images that bring the photographer's/artist's own feelings and "voice" into the landscape — rather than obviously and clichéd-ly copying places others have already shot and ideas many have used.
