Local adjustment is the core idea of photo post-processing. In a single photo, different objects and regions — sky, vegetation, rivers — may need their color and brightness adjusted separately.
Both Lightroom (LR) and Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) offer three local adjustment tools: the Graduated Filter, the Radial Filter and the Adjustment Brush.
